We believe you can feel better in your body, mind and space when you feel supported by others and your own body integrity. We share Ayurveda in a way you get to know how your body works best and experience a clear physiology that communicates well. Through an elegant blend of efficient Ayurvedic self-care practices, behavioural science and time management skills, we help you realise your ability.
Tiny House Ayurveda was founded in 2013, previously called Ayur Botanicals, to help you re-connect with your intuition through your senses. You know what's best for you when it comes to making daily decisions and it's these incremental steps that create your life. Through learning some Ayurvedic health science you can discover more about what's serving you well and ditch what's not.
We did have a range of organic herbal tonics and decided to stop making them for ethical reasons. Importing herbs and packaging them was giving out bandaids! Now we know how to get behind why you needed to lean into herbs in the first place. If you do need a therapeutic remedy then we'll recommend a local cost effective one for you. Let's get your kitchen pharmacy working for you as a priority.
We help you understand your physiology and choose more health supporting habits that suit you. You can have surplus energy, increased immunity, the best sleep and improved digestion in a positive cycle of health through simple yet profound daily habit changes.
There is an efficient way to approach your day, to finally stop searching all over the place for the answer to your health problems - it's been with you the whole time and you just need a hand clearing the way to tap back into what works for you.
The popular Vata, Pitta, Kapha body typing will let you down and become complicated after a while..we don’t hand out dietary plans or classify you according to your Dosha (listen to our Podcast episode about Redefining the Doshas for more). The Five Elements and 20 Gunas (qualities) are more useful for you to reach sustainable health, to have good days, day after day after day.
It's amazing how something as simple as when and how you eat dinner can radically change how you sleep, your skin glow and your energy levels. The human body is designed to rejuvenate - it cleanses, regulates, repairs and renews! If you feel any pain or discomfort in your body then it's calling for help.
Hi I'm Lesley and I love stand up paddle-boarding, bike riding, re-bounding, Yoga & wholefood cooking. Past- volunteer fire fighter!
I'm an Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner having trained in Australia for 3 years with master Ashtavaidyan A.N. Narayanan Nambi MD (Ayu) Kerala India, and I'm grateful for the guidance of all my teachers from various fields - with particular thanks to Amadea Morningstar, Ray Noronha, Dr Vishnu Pillai and Dr Bosco Paul. I've been to India, speak Hindi, although a bit rough in spots, and can read and write Devanagri - the same script as Sanskrit. I've benefited from immersion into many Asian cultures and traditions over the years, having lived in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China.
With a caring modern Ayurvedic approach over 10 years I've helped people from as young 2 years of age to 91 years with a broad range of health conditions from acne to Parkinson's disease, and I'm constantly impressed by the human body's ability to heal.
I'm over 50 and have been a Yoga student for more than 30 years. I experienced food as medicine and the joys of the kitchen pharmacy living in Asia for 7 years with my young family. Since 2001 I have co-authored a cook book (out of print sorry, we've shared some recipes on our Blog page for you), held workshops in Ayurvedic Theory, Cooking and Massage, completed extra training in Health Coaching, Aged Care, and Myofascial Release, consulted and cooked for commercial kitchens and events and established two health clinics in Australia. In 2018 I wrote BOLD Freedom, a guide book to find more time in your life while upgrading your health simultaneously.
Whilst working from rooms in a multi-modality clinic in Byron Bay, I confirmed my Dharma to support body-mind integrity for people who help their families and clients by creating a space for sustained easeful living and continued growth. I offer you Tiny House Ayurveda as the way to feel free and flourish.
I'm inspired by my Gypsy grandmother, and am grateful to have been introduced to Ayurveda by my best friend and supported by my Yoga teacher from the the Yoga Institute Mumbai India - the oldest organised Yoga centre in the world.
